Twenty-two physicians and seven physician assistants provide care to over 40,000 of our nation’s veterans in the General Medicine Clinic. Our typical patient is older, with multiple chronic illnesses. The clinic has championed several complex disease management strategies for depression, hypertension, and diabetes that incorporate novel methods of care delivery including home monitoring of disease, telemedicine, and group visits.
