Overview

The Division of General Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center mission is to lead the medical center in the provision of high quality primary care to adults, lead the nation in applied research, and define new paradigms in primary care medical education.

There are three intermingled areas of professionalism in general internal medicine in the division: clinical practice of medicine, clinical research, and education. We conduct these activities within the context of a progressive clinical practice at Duke University Medical Center, and a vibrant clinical practice at the Durham VA Medical Center.
